I just called to say I love you
but you sounded busy
thinking about something else
cutting of my words
sounding so uneasy talking to me
so all I could say was 'are you okay?'
'sure'
what was it you were thinking?
or who?
The thoughts we once shared
the sheets we crumbled
the times we were so close
gone
no more than a distant memory
of better days
